"The course was very beneficial. I have text books . . . "Statistical Process Control" by Grant and Leavenworth, "The Complete Guide to the CQE" by Pyzdek, and more. These books were great at teaching me the mathematics of SPC, but they did little to instruct me how to analyze and what steps to take. This course gave me the missing elements. I have several new ideas."
"I enjoyed it very much. It put the rest of the pieces in the puzzle together for me. For the last 2 years we have been removing charts. They will be going back and being used much more to our advantage."
"This class has been instrumental in helping me better understand statistical methods and processes already in place within my company. The true value for me was discovering that SPC does not have to be difficult to understand or explain processes. I have a better understanding of how to plan several new processes I have been charged with putting in place. When is the next class? My boss needs this."
"I now feel comfortable thinking about how to look at data in a more meaningful way, ask the right questions about how to interpret data and how to properly look at the information. The use of examples is an outstanding tool."
"The course took many of the stat formulas I learned in college and put them in a practical application format."
"Excellent class manual, with real life examples. Class participation is great. All questions were answered and clearly defined for the class. I enjoyed the many examples and getting into the details of statistical formulas."
"Quizzes provided good review of section material. I liked the idea of splitting the course over 2 weeks (consecutive Thursdays). It makes it easier to schedule and promotes long term retention of the material.
The teacher did an outstanding job of presenting the material. The class helped me understand control limits, and Cpk and Ppk. The exercises are a huge part for learning the material.
I need to thank the teacher for giving me a clear understanding of Cpk & Ppk.
The manual is outstanding.
I thought the class was highly informative and effective. The material was presented at an appropriate pace and all principles were explained. I learned a great deal about how to approach process problems without feeling as though the changes were done to just improve the numbers. I, also, found it very useful and well taught to have a visual and conceptual understanding of Cpk, Ppk and capability index.
It was a very good class for me. It filled in many of the holes that I had in understanding and use of SPC. Many simple things I have picked up along the way or when working with others were put in proper order. Thank you for your help, insight and understanding.
Being the first time I've been exposed to formal training in SPC, it was a very informative class. I found the class interesting and enjoyable.
In the future I plan to use this information more on the floor. And this book will help refresh what we went through in the class.
