At first, I thought the Federal Stimulus package, passed by Congress, was a bad idea. But then, I began to see it like a big-spending, Washington politician. I watched what the federal government was doing, and decided I should follow their example. So, I have designed My Own Stimulate Plan for the economy.

I am going to take $1000 from my friend Bill. He is not rich, but he has more than that in his savings and with just a $1000 dollars less to his name he will not have to change his life style, and may not even miss it, if I don't tell him my plan. I hope he will still be my friend after I implement my stimulus plan, because I will start considering him a really good friend.
Now, My Own Stimulus Plan, and the very un-selfish act by me, is how I am going to spend the money. I am going to spend it to benefit many people and organizations. This is much better than Bill having it all, since he is just letting it sit in his savings account. I think my plan for his money is better than his. I learned from the present administration this is called ‘spreading the wealth around.’ That sounds good to me and it makes my plan legitimate.
First, I will use $500 to pay part of my property taxes. This will help all the people in the school system, including students, teachers, administrators, maintenance people, bus drivers; and my local government. I will use another $250 to buy gasoline for my wife's and my car. This will help all those employed in the various oil and gasoline, production and retail businesses, and the fuel tax will help build roads for all of us to drive to work, the grocery store, restaurants, and vacation. The number of people who benefit from My Own Stimulus Plan is almost un-countable.
Later, I'll take my family out to eat. With tip, to help the waitress, I'll plan $200 for that. The whole restaurant business in Anderson will be happy about this idea. And finally with the last $50, I'll buy some groceries. We all have to eat and the grocery business and all its employees will benefit, too.
Now, I know some of you have thought these are things I might do anyway. Yes, that is true. So, with the $1000 of my money I will 'save' I will take a short vacation, and stimulate the economy even more. It feels great to handle money like a Washington politician. I can understand why those big-spenders in Washington are so good at spending other peoples' money. Spending and stimulating the economy, and making people happy is such as easy thing to do with my $2000!
I think the multitude of people mentioned above will really like my plan. But, I can see Bill might not. So, I have decided the next time Bill and I meet, I'll buy his coffee. That along with an explanation of how I am stimulating the economy for everyone should make him feel a lot better, too.
After a review of my idea, it sounds like such a good plan, I think I'll have to plan for My Own Stimulus Plan #2.
