Today, we are continually exposed to statistics and numbers about business, personal and social conditions.  Some of this information is better than other information.  

This website provides basic lessons of interpretation and response to data to assist in making informed and proper responses.  We strive to help visitors improve their understanding that every move in an index is not a trend, that every puff of wind is not a hurricane, and that every report of a statistic is not necessarily a significant event.  Numbers are often reported with great emotion and urgency, but they may, in fact, be un-important.
