Statistical Process Control (SPC) Class

Why This Class

The instructor, Michael L. McDonald, developed this class based on 18 years of industrial training and application experience.  This course is specifically designed to clearly teach application, so students leaving the class know how to think and what to do.  Students will be able to recognize and apply proper statistical techniques and how to respond to a wide range of methods, statistics and graphical techniques.  Our training philosophy does this by using many case study examples for each statistical method:

This class will provide certification for Continuing Education Units, Recertification Units;
and when held in collaboration with IVY Tech State College, IVY Tech State College Credit.

These statistical methods are the foundation of an effective ‘Six Sigma’ Plan, and product and process, customer focused, continuous improvement plans.

Process Validation & Machine Qualification

One of the most important and rewarding applications of SPC is in the area of introducing new processes and equipment that have been proven capable.  By assuring thru statistical and graphic evidence that new processes and equipment are working correctly and meeting all requirements, a significant and profitable contribution to quality, customer satisfaction, and business robustness is made.  McDonald & Associates, Incorporated, uses the Automotive Industries Action Group standards and procedures as an example to teach process validation and machine qualification, and to help students learn the validation thought process.  Other standards can be included per your needs.  These topics are covered in the SPC Class detailed above or as a separate class for those familiar with SPC.
